San Francisco, CA, Hong Kong, China and Jakarta, Indonesia (PRWEB) October 23, 2010
Ozura World's Fonwar, the mobile social network Apps suffered website outage that prevented users from accessing the service and content over the Internet in Indonesia Yesterday. The breakdown occurred just a few hours after Fonwar's Indonesia traffic reached a new high. The report was highlighted by the addition of 1.2 million subscribers in 1 month and a projected addition of at least 5 million more customers by year's end. Fonwar currently has about 16 million users mainly from emerging markets such as India, Asia Pacific and South American countries.
Ozura World had recently launched Fonwar Pro, the next generation mobile messenger for smart devices, such as Google's Android, Apple's iphone, iPad, HTC, Blackberry, mobile phones such as Nokia, Motorola, Samsung and Sony Ericsson. The Apps will also be compatible to Indonesia local phones such as Nexian, TiPhone and other smaller brands. The well received mobile Apps will have local foot print in strategic investor's domain such as Telkomsel, Indosat, XL Axiata, Mobile 8, Flexi, 3 and Smart, and major operator networks in Vietnam, Philippines and Thailand the near future. "The speed and people network with Indonesia partner is amazing. We get our product ready and gain access to main stream customers right next door." commented Ken Leong, Project CEO of Fonwar .
Fonwar's growth is being propelled by the rising popularity of mobile messenger over 3G mobile Internet connections, but the service was facing access deniel due to server overload Yesterday. Other main stream Internet web sites, such as Facebook, Twitter and even Google, also periodically break down. The outage's timing was especially embarrassing for Fonwar. It occurred the next day after Fonwar CEO Ken Leong predicted that subscribers will soon be breaking 20 million by year end.
Ozura World has been investing heavily in cloud computing and local cache services to add more capacity to its localization initiative because it wants its subscribers to use faster access to the Apps and consume content, virtual items and ads more frequently and eventually boost its earnings even higher. Fonwar is projecting a profit by end of first quarter 2011. "We are making good money, but we want to be very very profitable." Ken commented.
Thursday's outage could be an indication that Fonwar will have to invest more in its data centers and other technology to ensure the real-time chatting service remains available as subscribers try to use it more frequently.
Ozura World recently took a $30 Million deal from Asia telco technology investor, Inovisi Infracom, which rides on the Inovisi Infracom's pan-Asia telecommunication infrastructure which supports database, mirroring servers, caches, cloud computings and global inter operators messaging terminations.
