This Sunday, October 3rd was the premier of the new season of Extreme Makeover: Home Edition; a hit reality television series that brings hope to deserving families in need by renovating and remodeling their homes. BidForMaterials.com was honored to be a part of the team that helped to make this Extreme Makeover happen.
The Lutz family is very special. Kathleen and John care for their six brothers and sisters with Down syndrome who they’ve been raising in a tiny home since their parents passed away. After being surprised by Ty Pennington and the team while at Yankee Stadium, their lives changed forever.
Prior to the build, BidForMaterials.com received a material list to be donated from Alure Home Improvements, who was selected for the 8th time as the contractor in charge of the build. The registered suppliers in the BidForMaterials.com network were notified of the extraordinary chance to aid in this effort. Registered suppliers have access to material lists placed on the website, which include everything from roof supplies to HVAC supplies. The response was truly amazing. As a result, BidForMaterials.com acquired the necessary donations in order for the Lutz family home to become a reality.
BidForMaterials.com went on to continue its work with Extreme Home Makeover and found donations for the build in Houston Texas; helping to bring hope to yet another worthy family. They are currently working to coordinate donations for yet another project to improve the lives of a family in the Gulf of Mexico. This is truly an amazing and inspiring experience for everyone involved. If you would like to help this effort please visit BidForMaterials.com for more information.
