New York, NY (Vocus) October 24, 2010
SunGard’s IntelliMatch, an enterprise-wide solution that streamlines processes for reconciliation, exception management, financial governance and archiving, has been awarded the sixth annual 2010 Innovator Award for Banking by Windows in Financial Services (WFS) magazine. The award recognizes leadership in innovation using Microsoft technologies, as well as the potential for long-term impact in the financial services industry.
The reconciliation process is becoming progressively complicated due to increases in data complexity and transaction growth. There is therefore an increasing need for centralization of reconciliations onto a single platform and increased visibility across operations. To address these challenges, SunGard has introduced several enhancements to its enterprise-wide reconciliation solution focused on performance and scalability, intelligent workspaces, and trending and analysis. These include new matching algorithms to provide high volume performance and enhanced real-time and intraday reconciliation support, and new intelligent workspaces that can help enhance speed and accuracy in multi-reconciliation environments.
Joseph Viviani, publisher of Windows in Financial Services, commented: “SunGard’s IntelliMatch is a worthy winner of our Innovator Award for Banking. The functionality it offers in increased performance, scalability and transaction volume processing can play a vital role in helping financial institutions to reduce costs and free up resources.”
Karen Cone, general manager, Worldwide Financial Services, Microsoft, said, “Its 2010 Innovator Award for Banking attests to SunGard’s leadership in helping banks to meet their most challenging mission-critical technology needs. By helping improve operational efficiency and reducing risk in the reconciliation, exception management, financial governance and archiving processes, IntelliMatch sets a high standard and demonstrably deserves this recognition.”
Dave Barrett, chief operating officer of SunGard’s Ambit corporate banking business unit, said, “This award is a testimony to the investments we are making in IntelliMatch. At a time when transparency and efficiency are critical, SunGard is able to offer a solution suite that helps give customers greater visibility across their operations and improved scalability and performance through the automation and optimization of key business processes.”
