The Initiative focuses on the voluntary adoption of GS1 standards for more accurate and complete product information shared between trading partners.

The Foodservice Technology Working Group is an open forum to discuss strategies and collaborative processes in the foodservice supply chain. Members of this group, who include leading players in the industry, focus on the application and implementation of GS1 standards-based solutions in the operator, distributor and other user environments. The Foodservice Technology Working Group is part of the broader Foodservice GS1 US Standards Initiative.
