Calling all budding Van Gogh’s, Picasso’s and Renoir’s! Archipelago Learning, (NASDAQ:ARCL) a leading subscription-based online education company and developer of the highly respected Study Island, is sponsoring the Art for the Archipelago contest to help decorate its new company headquarters in Dallas with original artwork created by students in grades K-12.
To participate in the art contest, students must illustrate how Study Island makes learning fun, engaging and effective using either hand-developed or computer-generated drawings, paintings, or sketches. There are five themes for students to select from, and entries will be categorized into groups by grade level including kindergarten-second, third-fifth, sixth-eighth, and ninth-12th. Each group will have a first, second and third prize winner, with prizes of $100, $50 and $25, given to the student and their teacher. One grand prize winner will be selected from all entries received. That student and his or her teacher will each be awarded $250.
