Principal Kathy Duke-Jackson and the faculty of First Avenue Elementary will receive the award at a reception held at the school at 7:30 a.m., on October 27, 2010. Mike Roseman, regional sales director of Study Island, and Susan Sampson, New Jersey account executive of Study Island, will present the award.

Each year, Archipelago Learning presents the Study Island School of Achievement award to recognize schools that are committed to children’s education and their future. These schools use a comprehensive strategy to lead them above and beyond their achievement goals and individual student success.
