“Through our work with Study Island, our teachers have been able to provide scaffolding for students who are in need of extra support and to also challenge students who perform at a higher academic level,” said Kathy Duke-Jackson, principal of First Avenue Elementary School. “As a result of teachers and students working with Study Island, our students have made significant academic gains. It is very clear that our students love Study Island and that our teachers see the benefit of the program.”

With real-time reporting on student achievement, teachers can easily differentiate instruction to address learning gaps and help students prepare for state assessments. Study Island’s educational programs are built directly from state standards and the new common core standards and create a fun, engaging experience for students and teachers, alike.
“We are very pleased to honor First Avenue Elementary School with the Study Island School of Achievement award,” said Mike Roseman, regional sales director of Study Island. “Since 2008, Study Island and First Avenue Elementary have partnered together to create measurable improvements in student achievement, and we would like to congratulate Ms. Duke-Jackson, her dedicated staff, and the students of the First Avenue Elementary School for their continued dedication to academic excellence.”
