Listening to and Gaining Wisdom From the ‘Silent Words’

Share Article

Engaging poetry collection to be featured at the 2010 New York Library Association Book Exhibit and California Library Book Exhibit.

José Pérez, a poet by intuition, graces the publishing world with his literary prowess as Xlibris releases Silent Words. In this collection of striking poems, he approaches the art of poetry with an evocative style that invites to contemplate the words people use to make sense of this world.

Silent Words presents poems written through the experience of silence, a forgotten language in man’s modern minds. Exploring two of the most compelling languages – Spanish and English – Pérez captures his innermost emotions and sentiments toward the world and within himself. His own spiritual journey is achieved in each poem and confirms the intention of using this form of expression to speak about everything else in his life, ones that many readers can relate with. Likewise, his knowledge in human sciences and arts contribute to the development of his artistry in which images become an essential tool to convey any aspect of reality. Through rhyme and rhythm, readers will see a reflection of the world perceived through the senses of the poet and the world of words.

From pieces about hopes and desires to verses about solitude and rewards, Silent Words introduces a breathtaking journey through the primary language of understanding—the language of silence.

This book will be featured at this year’s New York Library Association Book Exhibit in Saratoga Springs, NY on November 2-5, 2010 and in California Library Association Book Exhibit in San Diego, CA on November 12-15, 2010. For more information, log on to
