We focused on bright animations and using three different types of games -- flash cards, quizzes and tracing -- to engage children in different ways to make learning something to look forward to.

Parents, part of the Meredith Women's Network, released the Parents Magazine Flash Cards Application for iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch use. Resolute Digital, a full-service New York City-based digital marketing agency , worked with the staff at Parents to design and develop the app. Resolute has also built websites, web-based applications, social media-based widgets, mobile apps and content management systems for other partners in the Meredith Women's Network. The world of mobile learning is expanding at the same rate smartphones and tablet computers are increasing in popularity. Resolute Digital has already begun to capitalize on the growing need for mobile apps that appeal to both child users and their parents, and the agency's partnership with Parents has yielded exactly that.

Resolute Digital and Parents designed and developed the Parents Magazine Flash Cards App to be a mobile learning experience intended for toddlers and preschoolers. The free app includes free Color and Shape flash card sets and comes with additional Letters and Numbers card packs available through in-app purchase for $0.99 each. Addition/Subtraction and Multiplication/Division packs are coming soon.

Managing Creative Partner Brian McNamee explains that "We knew we had to keep the Parents Flash Cards application constantly entertaining. We focused on bright animations and using three different types of games -- flash cards, quizzes and tracing -- to engage children in different ways to make learning something to look forward to." Exposing children to the equally interesting ways of learning colors, shapes, letters, and numbers featured in the app increases memory retention, which is very beneficial in early stages of mental development. Children also receive kudos for jobs well done, which not only helps maintain interest but also instills a lasting sense of accomplishment.
