Anaheim, CA (PRWEB) October 28, 2010
Fletcher-Flora Health Care Systems, Inc. today announced a new partnership with Medicat, LLC to interface Medicat's Electronic Medical Records software with the FFlex eLink IMR system. This partnership will allow Medicat clients to electronically send patient results from their clinical lab instruments to their Medicat EMR system.
FFlex eLink IMR is software designed to provide much needed connectivity directly between a laboratory’s clinical instruments and an Electronic Medical Records, Practice Management System, Electronic Health Records or other host system. FFlex eLink IMR streamlines integration of one or more instruments to a host which reduces the need for manual transcription of results and can increase lab efficiency, improve accuracy in the patient’s electronic record and reduce liability associated with transcription errors.
FFlex eLink IMR not only accepts patient results from instruments and transmits the data to an EMR system but also provides a user interface that allows users to define tests and age/sex-dependent reference ranges, approve or reject results, monitor real-time instrument logs and enter offline results from manual “bench” tests.
“The costs associated with traditional Laboratory Information Systems (LIS) often prohibit smaller clinics and health centers from taking advantage of today’s improved technology," explained Neal Flora, President and CEO of Fletcher-Flora. "FFlex eLink IMR provides a simple and cost effective integration solution for this underserved segment of the industry. FFlex eLink IMR helps streamline operation in the lab and optimize the investment by integrating otherwise separate pieces of the operation while improving workflow and patient care.”
"Medicat recognizes the importance of integrating laboratory results into our EMR system in support of patient safety, quality of care and workflow productivity," added Stacy Kottman, President & CEO of Medicat. "The FFlex eLink IMR solution offers Medicat clients more choices in how this seamless integration can be achieved."
