Amoruso is Immediate Past Chair of the New York State Bar Association’s Elder Law Section and a current Executive Committee Member; Immediate Past President of the New York Chapter of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys; Chair of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys’ (“NAELA”)Telephonic Education Committee; co-chair of the NAELA Chapter Presidents Council; NAELA Public Policy Board Member; NAELA Program & Education Committee Member; NAELA Education Task Force; and the 2010 recipient of the Outstanding New York Chapter Member Award of NAELA. He also is Past Chair of the Westchester County Bar Association’s Elder Law Committee as well as a current Board Member.

He is President of the Westchester Chapter of the Columbian Lawyers Association and serves on the Board of Directors of Hospice & Palliative Care of Westchester.

In addition, Michael Amoruso hosts “Elder Care on the Air” on WFAS 1230AM every Wednesday morning with special guests in the elder care and special needs fields. He lectures frequently on Elder Law and Estate Planning topics and is a nationally published author.
