GDD Interactive has received a 2010 W3 Gold Award for creative excellence in the category of website design, branding. The Dallas-based agency was recognized for their innovative Pep Boys Garage micro-site, the digital branding component of a new Pep Boys campaign that launched in April 2010.

Through the Pep Boys Garage, customers enter a virtual reality with the iconic Manny, Mo and Jack, where they can download an iPhone app, download ringtones, connect with the brand on Facebook and Twitter and watch Pep Boys commercials. Customers can even become a Pep Boy bobble head using their own photo and can share their image with friends on Facebook. The Speed Wrench Game lets customers compete virtually to see who can put lug nuts on all the cars in the garage in the shortest amount of time.

This is one of several awards GDD Interactive has received in 2010, including two ADDY’s from the Dallas Ad League. The agency received a gold ADDY for their work with Houston-based Pappas Restaurant Group and a bronze ADDY for the NAACP Top 100 Films of the Century, a national campaign.
