Sentry Management, Inc., (http://www.sentrymgt.com) a full-service community management firm, celebrates 35 years of serving the needs of condominiums and homeowner associations. Sentry has grown to be one of the top association management firms in the US and the largest in Florida. James W. Hart, Jr. the founder and President, believes the success is due to knowledge, innovation, great talent and unsurpassed customer service. “The current economic climate has been especially tough on homeowner communities. Sentry’s broad experience and depth of resources have proved to be especially beneficial to associations facing financial and operational issues they have never encountered before.” says Hart. “Sentry continues to draw on know-how gained from managing thousands of communities to deliver the value association board’s have come to expect.”

Sentry has changed a lot since 1975. Sentry continually modernizes operations to improve the homeowner experience. Recently the company converted its integrated accounting and communications software to CommunityPro™, which was built exclusively for Sentry’s use. The software features a state-of-the-art user interface, called Board Room, for HOA and condo board members to access their financial package in real time.

In spite of all the changes, Sentry looks largely the same. “We decided it was time to reintroduce ourselves to association board and community members. The 35th Anniversary is an opportunity for Sentry to unveil what amounts to a rebranding: a new website, logo and communications materials,” says Hart. The major changes are:

  • The Sentry Management logo has been simplified to make it fresh and contemporary. Colors have been updated and a graphic element added to better represent what we do.
  • The website contains expanded content, video and improved navigation. Homeowners will find it easier to get all services in one place, including access to their free community website, community documents and online payments. Expanded information on all 18 offices is featured. Board members will find complete details of the services Sentry provides so they can more quickly evaluate company capabilities.

Fundamentally, community association management is about people. Sentry has over 700 employees of which most are Community Managers and on-site staff working directly with association Boards of Directors and homeowners. Sentry is noted for having the most experienced and knowledgeable people in the industry in these roles. “But it is how well they communicate,” says Hart, “that makes the difference. Our Managers work very hard to maintain courteous relations in the community. They make sure every telephone call and email is returned as quickly as possible, all correspondence and reports kept current and every deadline met.”

Sentry Management is a full-service community management company. Sentry’s sole business is the day-to-day operation of communities, homeowner associations and condominiums. Sentry is accredited as an AMO® (Accredited Management Organization) by the Institute of Real Estate Management, providing independent evaluation that Sentry has one of the highest operating and financial standards in the industry. Sentry operates in dozens of localities in Florida, Arizona, Georgia, Indiana, North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee.
