After launching construction of its new expansion in January 2010, Liberty University’s William Stadium is now open for the new football season.

After launching construction of its new expansion in January 2010, Liberty University’s William Stadium is now open for the new football season.

The stadium has been expanded from 12,000 to 19,200 seats and includes a brand new 110-foot tall tower, equipped with a fully functional press box, an 11,000-square foot Flames Club pavilion, 18 luxury suites, and three concession stands at the base of the structure. After nine months of construction the Liberty Flames played their first game in front of a record breaking crowd in the new stadium against Savannah State on Saturday, October 2, 2010.
