Hot Chocolate 15K/5K Registration Closed; Limited Entries Available Via Charities

Chicago’s Hot Chocolate 15K/5K announced today that it had reached its registration capacity of 30,000 participants, and that registration has closed. Last year, the event attracted 10,000 runners. A limited number of charity entries for the 15K and 5K will be available on a first come, first served basis October 30 through November 1.

Chicago’s Hot Chocolate 15K/5K announced today that it had reached its registration capacity of 30,000 participants, and that registration has closed. Last year, the event attracted 10,000 runners.

A limited number of charity entries for the 15K and 5K will be available on a first come, first served basis October 30 through November 1. The donation for a charity entry is $165, which is fully tax deductible.

Charity entries receive a Priority Seeded Start and a VIP Goodie Bag, which includes a full zip jacket and a Will Run for Chocolate Polartec Fleece Hat.

About the Hot Chocolate 15K/5K

Now in its third year, RAM Racing’s Hot Chocolate 15K/5K is one of Chicago’s largest and certainly fastest-growing running events, with 30,000 participants scheduled to compete on November 6. By encouraging athletes at every level to participate in the spirit and fun of competition, the number of runners in the Hot Chocolate 15K/5K grew from 3,500 in 2008, to 10,000 in 2009. This year, the event closed its registration in early October when it reached its capacity of 30,000 participants. The Hot Chocolate 15K/5K offers a beautiful course, award-winning gear, on-course and post-race entertainment, including the Hot Chocolate post-race party featuring one of Chicago’s premier bands, Maggie Speaks. More than 500,000 servings of Ghiradelli Hot Chocolate and other treats will be served. The Hot Chocolate 15K/5K is presented by Illinois Bone & Joint Institute.

The Hot Chocolate 15K/5K is a RAM Racing event.
