We are excited to create chemistry with Liberty Science Center through our Kids Lab program, realizing that today’s students will be the thinkers, innovators and leaders of the future.
Jersey City, NJ & Florham Park, NJ (Vocus) October 30, 2010
Following a successful launch of the Kids Lab program earlier this year, BASF is re-launching it at Liberty Science Center, Jersey City, New Jersey, on Saturday, Oct. 30. Designed for families with children ages 6-11, BASF’s Kids Lab offers a fun way to explore aspects of chemistry and science with hands-on experiments in a real lab setting.
Each two hour workshop led by an educator aims to give children and families a better appreciation for the dynamic world of science as they learn about concepts in chemistry. Families can even take many of their creations home. Children also receive a lab apron, a certificate of participation and other takeaway items. It’s the perfect weekend activity to do indoors.
“BASF has a fundamental commitment to sustainable development and, therefore, we strive to be conscientious corporate citizens, good neighbors and value-adding members of the communities in which we live and work,” said Robin Rotenberg, Vice President and Chief Communications Officer at BASF. “We are excited to create chemistry with Liberty Science Center through our Kids Lab program, realizing that today’s students will be the thinkers, innovators and leaders of the future.“
