Alliance Global Services, a premier global software solutions firm, today announced that it has successfully completed the first integrated ISO 9001:2008 and ISO 27001:2005 surveillance audits from Det Norske Verias (DNV), an accredited third-party registrar of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO). DNV auditors have recommended the continuation of the certifications as Alliance has successfully demonstrated compliance to both standards.

“Alliance is dedicated to ascertaining our customers confidence in our information security management and delivering solutions that meet customer and applicable regulatory requirements,” said John Castleman, President and CEO of Alliance Global Services. “Customer satisfaction has been our top priority at Alliance; and this achievement highlights our commitment to quality to ensure we deliver consistently.”

ISO 27001:2005 is an Information Security Management System (ISMS) standard published by the ISO that identifies, manages and minimizes a range of threats to business information. Considered the international gold standard in information security, ISO 27001:2005 provides guidelines for a risk assessment and management process and ensures a secure infrastructure is established. In addition to this certification, Alliance Global Services has been ISO 9001:2008 certified for eight consecutive years and is a CMM Level 5 assessed company.

The ISO 9001:2008 standard is an international reference for quality management requirements and continuous improvement in business-to-business dealings. It is a generic standard that can be applied across all industries, regardless of the product or service delivered. The major challenges of 9001:2008 are the eight quality management principles that are the focus of the standard: customer focus; leadership; involvement of people; process approach; system approach to management; continual improvement; factual approach to decision-making; and mutually beneficial supplier relationships.
