White Plains, N.Y. (PRWEB) November 1, 2010
On Saturday, November 6th, the Westchester Chordsmen Chorus will host two live performances of “Chordsmen Got Talent,” a vaudeville sketch show, to benefit the county’s award winning vocal troupe. When not harmonizing together in assorted groups, the Chordsmen will be performing a wide array of their individual talents, like acting, singing and playing instruments. The show will be held at Good Council Academy (52 North Broadway) in White Plains at 2:30 and 7:30 PM.
During the event, a silent auction will take place to support the group’s continuing presence in the Barbershop Harmony Society of America and arts in Westchester County.
Without bidding, you can be a patron and/or sponsor by reserving front row tickets at $50, which includes a post-show reception. General admission is $20. Group rate discounts are available.
“It’s going to be a special night,” says show director John Fotia. “Most people have only seen the Chordsmen sing together. But this is a really talented and entertaining group of individuals. And the show will highlight that. There’s plenty of comedy in the sketches. The guys have a great sense of humor.”
Keith Harris, the Chordsmen’s lead director, adds: “This is one of the oldest and prized performing groups in the county. We have entertained audiences for generations. Our group encompasses people in their 20s to 90s. We see the same represented in our audience. It truly brings people together, especially during our holiday concerts. We hope to see all those people at the show. You’ll be getting a new look at the Chordsmen.”
