Brenton Productions, producer of Two Guys Garage and Truck U on the SPEED cable TV network, has announced that its one-hour documentary "Wounded Warriors' Garage" on Operation Comfort, will premiere Monday, November 22 at 8 pm (EST) on SPEED. Operation Comfort is a non-profit organization in San Antonio, Texas that offers unique recreational support programs for military burn trauma survivors who have suffered injuries in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Earlier this year, Brenton's Truck U program went on-site to produce a half-hour episode on Operation Comfort and its most popular program called Automotivation Garage. Automotivation enables wounded warriors to participate in a variety of automotive projects in a professional garage located on the outskirts of San Antonio.

Due to the popularity and positive reception from viewers to the half-hour episode, SPEED management decided to schedule the one-hour special. The Operation Comfort documentary, produced by Brenton Productions, reports about the entire Operation Comfort program that uses sports and other recreational projects to help alleviate the physical and emotional trauma of wounded military heroes who are being treated at Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio. The documentary is being hosted by Truck U’s Bruno Massel.

Brenton Productions CEO, Frank McGonagle, got involved with Operation Comfort when he met a number of military burn survivors at a 2009 Phoenix Society for Burn Survivors support meeting in New York City. The wounded GIs’ told McGonagle, a burn survivor who does volunteer work with this peer support group, about their project to combine a Ford Bronco and an old Army weapons carrier which led Brenton to produce the half-hour Truck U episode. The new documentary will reveal the completion of the Bronco/Weapons Carrier.

Brenton Productions president John A. Passante, says the company has been overjoyed to participate in such a great opportunity. ” Operation Comfort's work with these wounded heroes clearly exemplifies the power of the human spirit, ” said Passante.

In addition to its initial airing on November 22, the "Wounded Warriors' Garage" special will air several more times on SPEED including Christmas Day, December 25, at 11 am (EST). Documentary sponsors include: Autogeek, Bilstein, Dupli-Color, Keteca USA, Inc., Lincoln Technical Institute, Stage 8 Locking Fasteners, and Waterloo Industries.
