Several studies have proven the benefits of yoga with breast cancer patients. Yoga can relieve stress and anxiety in patients undergoing treatment as well as combating treatment side effects. Findings from a Wake Forest study published in an April, 2009 article in Psycho-Oncology showed a gentle, restorative yoga practice improved fatigue symptoms in patients being treated for breast cancer. A study published in March, 2007 in the Journal of Pain and Symptom Management revealed a decrease in pain levels in women with metastatic breast cancer the day after practicing yoga. Also, the American Cancer Society noted experimental studies pointing to the positive effect on the immune system from practicing yoga.

Embrace Activism places a high value on facilitating a satisfying practice with an emphasis on comfort and health. Extra thick mats provide the cushion and support to release and relax into a pose. Mat composition is more health and eco-friendly than standard mats containing no heavy metals, latex or phthalates.

Embrace Activism takes yoga practice to the next level; showing a commitment to the Cause and desire to create destiny for others.
