On the 29th October 2010, the Grand Opera House hosted an event that launched their brand new look season brochure, and announced a major new two year sponsorship deal with Emo Oil, Northern Ireland’s leading oil company.
Speaking at the event, Pat O’Neill Managing Director of Emo said; “Emo is delighted to join in this new association with the Grand Opera House. The theatre is not only a key player in the entertainment business in Northern Ireland – it also plays a broader role in the life of the community. The wide variety of shows revealed in this new programme is testament to how the Opera House continues to inspire an interaction with the arts, encouraging innovation and creativity among a diverse audience. We are delighted to embark on this partnership with the Grand Opera House, and especially look forward to the benefits that the community will derive from this relationship over the coming years.”
At the event, which was also attended by sponsors, funders, press, Theatre Friends, representatives from the arts and entertainment sector and others, Michael Ockwell said;
“I would like to thank our new sponsor Emo Oil for their commitment to the Grand Opera House, especially during such tough economic times and I look forward to developing a genuinely mutually beneficial partnership. I would also like to thank our Principal Funder, the Arts Council of Northern Ireland for their continued support and indeed all of our funders and supporters. I would urge everyone also to book their tickets now for the exciting season ahead and look forward to welcoming you to the theatre over the coming season.”
