Our SPX community has grown to become a successful forum for members to tap into the expertise of strategy professionals in a no-advertising-allowed environment.
Plano, TX (PRWEB) November 2, 2010
Launched in April of this year, corporate consulting firm, Method Frameworks, created the Strategic Planning Xchange group (SPX) on LinkedIn.com. In just six months since the launch, the SPX group membership has grown to nearly 8,000.
Method Frameworks created the SPX group to provide global thought leaders a community and forum to promote sharing, discussion, and awareness of successful methods and approaches for corporate strategic planning. The primary members include company presidents, CEOs, planning executives, small business owners, academic thought-leaders, students of management, consultants, writers, and researchers. Participating companies include Toyota, Seimens, Kraft, Ford, Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts, Harvard Business Review, and others.
The SPX group members discuss a wide range of topics related to strategic planning, operational planning, strategy implementation, growth and innovation, strategic management, change management, corporate transformation, enterprise planning, corporate planning, small business strategy, and management best practices. Members are able to share ideas, discuss challenges, solicit feedback on strategy-related topics, and gain unique perspectives from professionals around the globe.
Examples of recent activity include a debate on the role of organizational culture as a determinant of successful strategy execution; a discussion around how to facilitate strategy alignment throughout the organization; and discussion of the definition of strategic planning. Member participation in SPX provides an opportunity for all members to benefit from exposure to a variety of ideas and viewpoints.
“Our SPX community has grown to become a successful forum for members to tap into the expertise of strategy professionals in a no-advertising-allowed environment. In just six months, we’ve experienced significant growth in the forum, and through this environment, we’re extremely pleased to help facilitate effective corporate strategic planning strategies,” explains Joe Evans, President of Method Frameworks and creator of the Strategic Planning Xchange.
In addition to SPX, Method Frameworks hosts multiple subgroups on LinkedIn, including Corporate Planning for Small and Midsize Businesses, Technology Strategy Xchange, Planning Pre and Post M&A Activity, Business Proposal Xchange, and Strategic Management Articles and Blogs. The company has also introduced the SPX Executive Suite, an exclusive enclave within the Strategic Planning Xchange, reserved for president and C-level members. In sum, these subgroups allow members to hone in on specific areas of interest and benefit from focused discussions.
