“SpectorSoft wanted to engage a company offering the right blend of forward thinking technical know-how and understanding of consumer and business requirements. We found that combination in MapleWorks." - Ron Chesley, V.P. Engineering, SpectorSoft
Gatineau, QC (PRWEB) November 3, 2010
MapleWorks® Technology Inc., a North American provider of software development consulting services, partnered with SpectorSoft Corporation, a recognized leader and pioneer in the PC and Internet monitoring software market, to research and prototype a next-generation monitoring software product for the company.
Customer demand required SpectorSoft to quickly develop a solution to record the activities of BlackBerry smartphones owned by customers but used by employees or children. MapleWorks was able to meet the development timeline by employing its proprietary Agile process where the design and implementation are incrementally applied. This enabled SpectorSoft to review and provide feedback on the work performed in a timely and ongoing manner. As a result changes could occur quickly to adapt to the actual product needs and market. By leveraging this process along with MapleWorks’ deep domain experience in network communications and its extensive knowledge of BlackBerry technology, SpectorSoft was able to accelerate the development process and shorten the time-to-market launch of their initial eBlaster Mobile product.
“As we look beyond the traditional applications for monitoring software, SpectorSoft wanted to engage a company offering the right blend of forward thinking technical know-how and understanding of consumer and business requirements. We found that combination in the team at MapleWorks,” said Ron Chesley, co-founder and Vice President of Engineering at SpectorSoft.
eBlaster Mobile for BlackBerry smartphones provides the recording of email and text messages sent and received as well as phone call logs. The recorded information is sent to the customer periodically as an email report. Customer reaction to the solution has been strong since its launch in September 2010. MapleWorks and SpectorSoft are currently working on other mobile software solutions.
“SpectorSoft is solving real-world problems faced by businesses and consumers who use PCs, the Internet, and wireless connectivity and this is where MapleWorks’ engineers excel. The collaboration between SpectorSoft and MapleWorks has created next generation software that will gratify SpectorSoft customers and has introduced a partnership that will benefit both companies. We look forward to SpectorSoft’s continued success as leaders in their market,” said Paul Gasparro, Founder of MapleWorks Technology Inc.
