The winners were chosen based on their ability to implement programs that allowed them to create competitive advantages, significant profits and/or long-term value. 42 companies were chosen as finalists among the dozens of qualified applicants. The winning companies will be featured in the November 2010 issue of The New York Enterprise Report (both in print and online).

In addition, a new category of awards was added for 2010 that fall under the “Best of the Year Awards” and recognized four small businesses in the area of Non-Profit Program, International Operations Program, Social Responsibility Program and Supplier Diversity Program.
