More than ever, corporate executives should be committed to earning an MBA, rather than solely depending on their undergraduate degrees.

Turbine Technology Services Corporation (TTS), a full-service gas turbine engineering services firm based in Orlando, Florida, is celebrating the induction of George Gramatikas to the University of Central Florida’s College of Business Hall of Fame during its 12th annual event held on October 29, 2010.

Gramatikas, who co-founded Turbine Technology in 1983 and now serves as its Strategic Development Officer, is among a select group of UCF Alumni who have been recognized for their success and achievement in their industries—as well as their support for the UCF Executive Development Program, where he serves as an executive advisor.

A leader in energy industry engineering services, Turbine Technology Services provides gas turbine technology and engineering consulting services on a global scale for power generation professionals seeking to maintain operational excellence—including the successful management of gas turbine installation and modernization projects on a worldwide scale.

George holds an undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Wentworth Institute of Technology in Boston and earned his Master’s in Business Administration from the University of Central Florida. He chose this program to complement his engineering background with a business degree, given its international prestige and recognition.

“The MBA program at UCF was critical in bridging the gap between my experience as an engineer and the opportunity that Turbine Tech has encountered as a global provider of engineering solutions,” said Gramatikas. “More than ever, corporate executives should be committed to earning an MBA, rather than solely depending on their undergraduate degrees.”

Other Turbine Tech executives have earned their MBA from the University of Central Florida, including President Tony Thornton; Frank Hoegler, VP of Sales for the Americas; Ricky Morgan, VP of Engineering; and Robert Hearn, VP of Operations—all of whom are testimony of the company’s commitment to excellence through academic achievement.
