Halifax, Nova Scotia Recognized at National Tourism Awards

The Halifax, Nova Scotia tourism industry had plenty of reason to celebrate at the National Awards for Tourism Excellence Gala on November 2.

Seven Halifax businesses were nominated for the national awards, presented by the Toronto Star and the Halifax International Airport Authority won the award for Corporate Partner of the Year.

Halifax’s nominees also included RCR Hospitality (Business of the Year – Multiple Unit), Waterfront Development Corporation (Corporate Partner of the Year), Grand Chief Membertou 400 (Event of the Year), Scotiabank Blue Nose Marathon (Event of the Year), Halifax Sociable! – Destination Halifax (Online Marketing Campaign of the Year) and The Prince George Hotel (Award for Excellence in Human Resources Development) along with Nova Scotia nominees, Joggins Fossil Institute Association (Sustainable Tourism Award) and Celtic Colours International Festival (National Cultural Tourism Award).
