Brickwalk Cafe Explores the Human Condition by "Serving Up" Humorous Interactions Between the Patrons of a Popular California Cafe

Filled with irony, comedy, and suspense, Brickwalk Café takes place in a local diner in California, and zooms in on the daily conversations of secret lovers, ex-lovers, father and son, and a local porn star. As humans, are our lives different than those we pass by on the street, at the coffee shop, or in airports? What happens in the cafe, stays in the cafe... Let's hope..

Brickwalk Café was written, produced and financed by Chris Graue. Chris, and Brickwalk Café editor Brian Nenno are Co-Founders of 51 Productions a film and digital media company that focuses on new age music videos, shorts, and feature films involving the human condition. Preschool buddies, Chris Graue and director Kevin Senzaki “Toshi,” a USC film school graduate decided to team up and create Brickwalk Café prior to producing the horror film they will produce in late 2011.

Brickwalk Café provides an up close and personal view of those who enjoy the cozy environment of the cafe and the food on the menu, while exposing the personal issues of patrons. A humorous film about "life." Situations surrounding the lives of the characters in the film relate to money and duty, the fear of growing old and alone, emotional unavailability, and the challenges of loving someone in the acting spotlight (porn). The cafe is quite magical, and plays an important role in the daily lives of those who frequent the neighborhood hotspot.

The producers of Brickwalk Café have submitted their film to Sundance Film Festival, SXSW, and will also enter the film into Cannes and Tribeca Film Festival. The team plans on utilizing social network marketing and various distribution channels to build awareness of their film and can be found on Facebook by visiting: “The film industry is changing and there are new ways to engage an audience and make them feel part of the stories film makers tell. We want to build alliances with brands, organizations, and entities that celebrate individuality, love and the human spirit. There are two topics that glue us all together, the desire to be understood, and love,” says Chris Graue and Jewell Sparks (strategic producer and publicist for the film).

With a talented cast of sixteen, this film includes talent known to many. Actress Terry Dexter has acted alongside LL Cool Jay and Gabrielle Union in Deliver Us From Eva. Aris Alvarado played Ceaser in the hit television show Gilmore Girls and starred in Cold Case, Head Case, and Twentysixmiles. Writer Schoen Hodges has starred in television shows such as Criminal Minds and I Hate My 30’s.
