Fans of action and mystery novels are in for an exhilarating ride as author Amer W. Awad makes a debut in the publishing world with a heart-stopping, action-packed tale. Newly released through Xlibris, Best Served on a Cold Dish immerses readers into the life of a man who escapes from a past he did not make—at the expense of his life and the people he loves.
Jayson Knight is the twenty-four-year-old manager of the Water Hole Bottle Shop in the small town of Eton, Georgia. Four years ago, he moved from California and became lucky enough to be given a job by Mr. Jameson, the shop owner. Despite his boss’ stern and demanding ways, Jayson always thought of him with high respect and loyalty. But these virtues are tested when Jayson, together with his girlfriend Haley, is entrusted by Mr. Jameson with a wish just before his last breath. Without hesitation, Jayson takes on the mission to protect his boss’ wife, Maggie—and to look after Haley along the way. They must quickly escape from the men who murdered Mr. Jameson. But who are these men?
Best Served on a Cold Dish follows Jayson’s action-filled journey to the truth and justice, only to find himself digging out nightmares from the past. Along the way, he discovers an intricate web of family feud fueled with threats, deceit, disloyalty, and frustrations. Readers of this page-turner will be engrossed into finding clues and sanctuary to conclude a seemingly never-ending tale of vengeance.
This book will be featured at this year’s California Library Association Book Exhibit in Sacramento, CA on November 12-15, 2010. For more information, log on to Xlibris.com.
