Matalan Launches New TV Advertising Campaign

Matalan are excited to announce their launch of new TV ad campaign, their first ad since Autumn 2006. Developed in conjunction with BBH, it showcases Matalan’s great range of clothes for this season. The Campaign will run for 4 weeks and supported by a billboard campaign for 2 weeks.

The reason that we are going back onto TV is that over the last 3 years we have been focusing on improving the shopping experience for our customers from the design of product and quality and the in store shopping experience.

This Saturday, November 6, Matalan will launch their new TV ad campaign to be aired during X-Factor. It will be the first time Matalan have advertised on TV since Autumn 2006 and the first Christmas ad since Winter 2005.

The ad campaign has been developed in conjunction with advertising agency BBH and aims to broaden the appeal of the Matalan brand to a wide audience. This new exciting campaign will showcase the breadth of the Matalan offer across ladies, men's, kid's & home and will encapsulate our sense of family spirit in time for the festive season.

The creative concept is centred on a magical gift box, from which Matalan products are taken and handed out to the community. The box represents Matalan and the fantastic choice of product that can be found in store and online. The 10 second adverts will focus on specific product areas showcasing the combination of great design, quality and price on offer at Matalan. The advert will also feature a message to promote the on line store, http://www.Matalan.co.uk.

We are now also trading online and it is a great time to go out to appeal to new and existing customers," says Lee Pinnington, Matalan Marketing Director.

The TV campaign will run for a total of 4 weeks, starting with a 60 second ad followed by 6 different 10 second ads. The campaign will be supported with a premium site billboard campaign for 2 weeks from November 22nd.
