Rock Wall Wine Company to Hold the First Ever Harvest Rocks Festival November 13, 2010

In conjunction with the 2010 grape harvest, Rock Wall Wine Company will be holding the first ever Harvest Rocks Festival. The event is designed to celebrate the winemaking process and will include such activities as a Wine Tasting Challenge and Food & Wine Pairing Pavilion. The event is scheduled for November 13, 2010.

Harvest Rocks will be the ultimate wine experience

On November 13, 2010, Rock Wall Wine Company will be holding the first ever urban Harvest Rocks Festival. “Harvest Rocks will be the ultimate wine experience” Winemaker Shauna Rosenblum explains, “An opportunity for our guests to fully understand the wine making process and actually participate in the 2010 grape Harvest.”

In addition to learning about the art of winemaking from the winemaker’s point of view, there will be several interactive programs to enjoy including a Vineyard to Bottle Symposium, Wine Tasting Challenge, Wine Sensory Bar and a Food & Wine Pairing Pavilion. The entire Rock Wall Wine Portfolio will be available to taste through and a Texas BBQ by Ray “Sweet Meat” Green will be served. Enjoy live music by local artist Camaron Ochs, tours, barrel samples, free parking and special pricing on wine for the day.

Rock Wall Wine Company is partnering with KFOG on this Festival and with local businesses and groups. Rock Wall Wine Company will also be donating 5% of the day’s wine sales to the Alameda Food Bank. The Food Bank’s mission is to provide nutritious food to low-income residents of the City of Alameda on a non-discriminating basis.
