DOBBS FERRY, N.Y. – Mr. Gary W. Brown, Chairman of the Board of Mercy College announced that MTV executive, Alex Ferrari, has been elected to the Board of Trustees, effective as of today. In making the announcement, Mr. Brown stated, “The Trustees and I are delighted to welcome Alex Ferrari to the Mercy College board. His experience, insight and dedication to the College uniquely qualify him for this leadership role.”
Ferrari received his BS from Mercy College in 1982 and went on to earn his MBA from Pace University. He currently serves as the Chief Operating Officer for MTV Networks Music and Logo Group, which includes the MTV, VH1, CMT and Logo brands. In this role, he is responsible for overseeing the group’s corporate strategy and business development, including exploring and executing new business opportunities such as brand extensions, consumer products and new revenue models. Ferrari has served in a number of capacities at MTV Networks since joining the company in 1982.

Ferrari currently resides in Westchester County with his wife and three daughters.
