Destination News—Northeast: International Meetings Choose Montréal over Any Other in North America
Montréal ranks first in North America for international meetings, according to the International Congress and Convention Association (ICCA), whose network of suppliers to the international meetings industry spans 85 countries. For the top position, Montréal beat out popular destinations such as Vancouver and Toronto, as well as Boston, Mexico, Washington and New York.
Destination News—West: Pasadena Convention Center among Leading LEED-certified Facilities
Pasadena's expanded convention center is among only three in the United States to receive LEED® (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Gold Certification, a designation established by the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) and verified by the Green Building Certification Institute. Pasadena's $150 million Convention Center expansion features a state-of-the-art 55,000-square-foot exhibit hall, 25,000-square-foot ballroom, 25,000 square feet of pre-function space, a 22,000-square-foot outdoor plaza, and administrative offices.

New Developments—West: San Francisco’s Moscone Center to get $55 million upgrade
By the summer of 2012, San Francisco’s Moscone Center will have a gleaming, new look after a $55 million upgrade of the 1.2 million square foot facility. The work on the project by The San Francisco Convention & Visitors Bureau, the City and County of San Francisco and the San Francisco Tourism Improvement District has already begun.
