After nine years of growth and success in our own enterprise, Terra Dotta is pleased to support the Foundation for Asia Pacific Education as it assists students from all walks of life who strongly desire to study abroad but have unmet financial needs.
Denver, CO (PRWEB) November 8, 2010
The Foundation for Asia Pacific Education today announces it has received a $2,500 donation from Terra Dotta, a Chapel Hill, N.C.-based company specializing in web-based enrollment and risk management software for educational offices of all sizes.
The donation will assist the foundation, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, in its mission to raise funds to support North American students in gaining cultural and academic experiences around the world.
“This generous donation from Terra Dotta, a leading educational software provider, will play an integral role in our efforts to give much-needed financial assistance to students who otherwise might not have the opportunity to study abroad,” said Foundation Chair Christie Doherty. “It also speaks to Terra Dotta’s strong commitment to easing the process of study abroad so more students might experience the benefits of international education.”
Terra Dotta, which means “learned world” in Italian, was founded by Brandon Lee and Garrett Christian in 2001. Their vision is to enhance the delivery of learning capabilities and the administration of schools and other educational organizations through web-based interfaces available on any computer or mobile device connected to the internet.
“Our company was created to address software needs that weren’t being met in the field of international education,” said Brandon Lee, CEO and Co-Founder of Terra Dotta. “Now, after nine years of growth and success in our own enterprise, we are pleased to support the Foundation for Asia Pacific Education as it assists students from all walks of life who strongly desire to study abroad but have unmet financial needs.”
The Foundation for Asia Pacific Education has since 2007 provided more than $500,000 in scholarships to more than 500 North American college students for study in the Asia Pacific region.
