Sanford, Florida (PRWEB) November 8, 2010
Despite the floundering economy, business is strong at Next Horizon Networking & Technology in Sanford, Fla. near Orlando. The computer services and web technology design company grew 29 percent in 2010 and expects to grow another 35 percent in 2011.
The Ellis family founded next Horizon in 1998. Harry Ellis, Jr. remains at the helm of the privately owned company.
"We have been in the computer/technology business in Central Florida for almost 30 years and have never experienced a loss," said Ellis Jr. "While some years have been better than others, we have averaged 10 percent growth. Maintaining a 98 percent customer retention rate has created a lot of referrals; this is keeping us on a growth mode despite the economy."
Currently, Next Horizon has 12 fulltime employees and is planning on adding at least four new staff members by year-end. "We are doing our part putting people back to work in this tough economy," said Ellis Jr.
In the past 12 months, Next Horizon has added 18 key clients to the roster (and expects to add more by the end of the year). The services provided range from computer networking and repair, programming, website design and hosting, Internet marketing, e-commerce, computer security and much more.
Boasting a 98 percent customer retention rate, some of Next Horizon's top clients include:
- CAPITAL CARGO - custom Intranet programming & development
- PREMIER SHOWS - SEO, web design & programming
- LOCKHEED MARTIN - custom Intra/Internet programming and web design
- NEO METRIX - SEO and web design
- MATHEWS & ASSOCIATES - IT support and consulting
- DAYTONA BEACH RESORT - IT support & consulting and wireless Internet access
- COSTA DEL MAR SUNGLASSES - IT consulting
- CELEBRATION ORTHOPEDIC - SEO, web design and hosting
In a growing trend, Next Horizon is often being called upon to repair or optimize computer networks already in place.
"We are working with many clients to fix networking issues that arise due to a novice or other under-qualified company installing a network improperly," said Harry Ellis III, IT Manager at Next Horizon and the high-tech expert behind the business. "Our goal is to work with clients before they make a mistake with another technology provider and end up with a solution that is less than ideal."
Harry Ellis III's 15-year experience in computer science and technology includes high-level expertise and certifications in industry leading enterprise products such as Cisco, Microsoft, Novell and SonicWALL. He received a bachelor's degree from the University of Central Florida (UCF) in Information Systems Technology and is currently pursuing his master's degree in Computer Forensics at UCF.
"Our customers really appreciate Harry's hands-on approach and ability to explain computer technology and provide understandable high-tech solutions," said Ellis Jr. "He gets the job done while taking the time to help customers better understand their IT needs and making them comfortable with their IT provider."
In addition, Next Horizon is ahead of the curve when it comes to the Internet, including what's happening on-line and in social media. "We are known for delivering an innovative marketing platform that helps our business clients find new customers, which is vital in this economy," said Ellis Jr.
While technological expertise is what sells the clients, customer service is key to Next Horizon's continual growth and long-term success. According to Dan Perreault, President of NeoMetrix and a Next Horizon client, "Prior to working with Next Horizon, we had a website, but were unsatisfied with the amount of traffic to our site and the number of leads it generated. Since the redesign by Next Horizon and the implementation of Search Engine Optimization, we now receive several hundred new visitors per month and receive new sales leads via e-mail daily."
While many small businesses are struggling to stay afloat during the Great Recession, business is growing at Next Horizon due to sound business practices, technical expertise and a focus on customer satisfaction.
"We are so confident in the future, we plan to break ground on a new office building in Sanford in 2011," said Ellis Jr.
