For the second year in a row, Alfred Angelo will transform military service women from camo-wearing warriors to beautiful brides. Alfred Angelo, partnering with Operation Homefront, Florida, is donating over 100 wedding gowns for military brides to wear on their wedding day in Savannah, GA and Colorado Springs, CO for Veteran’s Day Weekend Wedding Extravaganzas.

Amanda Sheronas, Director of PR and Events for Alfred Angelo says, “Partnering with Operation Homefront, SWTC and now Garden of the Gods weddings is a fantastic experience for the company. We are proud that Alfred Angelo gowns can bring so much happiness to the military community. It’s an honor to donate the wedding gowns as a small token of appreciation and a way to say thank you to our service men and women for their commitment and sacrifice.”

Fifty-three active duty military couples have been selected to participate in Georgia Weddings for Warriors events, and twenty-eight couples will tie the knot in Colorado Springs. The Savannah Wedding Tourism Council, and the Garden of the Gods Trading Post in Colorado will provide free weddings and vow renewal ceremonies on November 10, 2010. A third Weddings For Warriors event will take place on December 8, 2010. Nineteen ceremonies are scheduled on Tybee Island, Georgia, to accommodate those currently deployed and returning after Veteran’s Day.

“The gowns are free to participating brides, and theirs to keep”, said Becky Byous, Executive Director of the Weddings For Warriors Project. “We were overjoyed to learn that Alfred Angelo wanted to help again this year. Our brides are ecstatic when they find out that these beautiful gowns really are their own keepsakes. And these aren’t just any gowns, they’re Alfred Angelo gowns.”

To date, Alfred Angelo has donated approximately 1000 wedding gowns to military service personnel through Operation Homefront, ensuring each couple has the wedding they've always dreamed about.

In addition to their partnership with the Armed Forces through Operation Homefront’s many local chapters, Alfred Angelo announced a Military Discount for service women and brides of service men. Military brides can receive a 15% discount on any Alfred Angelo bridal gown purchased at an Alfred Angelo-owned signature bridal store.
