The nation’s urgent care center owners and operators are predicting business growth and increased financial stability for 2011 according to a recently completed survey conducted by the Urgent Care Marketing Group. The Urgent Care Marketing survey, released to coincide with National Urgent Care Awareness Week November 8 – 12, asked specific questions related to local market conditions.

The survey found an overwhelming majority of physicians feel 2011 will have significant opportunities for growth. “The factor cited most frequently is a public more educated about the benefits of using urgent care facilities versus receiving treatment in hospital emergency rooms,” said Sam Yates, founder of the Urgent Care Marketing Group. “What this says is that urgent care awareness activities being conducted nationwide by groups like the Urgent Care Association of America and at a local urgent care provider level are paying off,” Yates added. “There was also a direct connection between urgent care center owners who actively marketed their practice and their feelings on 2011 growth. Those who had marketing plans in place reported they had a ‘very favorable outlook’ for business growth regardless of overall economic conditions. Those who did not have marketing plans reported they were ‘uncertain’ or saw 'no' opportunities for growth and ‘very little’ confidence in the overall growth of the economy in 2011. Fortunately, they were in the minority of those surveyed,” said Yates.
