Denver, CO (PRWEB) November 8, 2010
Just in time for World Kindness Week, Nov. 8-13, The Random Acts of Kindness Foundation (RAK) has launched its new website with powerful social media features at http://www.randomactsofkindness.org.
The new site makes it easier and friendly to spread the benefits of kindness. Members are encouraged to celebrate World Kindness Week by sharing their own kindness ideas and stories with the RAK community online.
The Random Acts of Kindness Foundation also is hosting the free World Kindness Games, a week-long international competition where players literally get points by being kind. From Nov. 8-14, in honor of World Kindness Week, members can get ideas, log their kind actions, shout out kind acts and be inspired. The World Kindness Games are a free social game open to anyone who creates an account at the site.
Since 2000, The Random Acts of Kindness Foundation has inspired people to practice kindness and pass it on. RAK provides an informational newsletter, daily kindness ideas, educational lesson plans, community and corporate activities, calendars, posters and more.
The new site lets visitors connect quickly to RAK via social media tools such as Facebook, Twitter and YouTube. Members can build a profile, blog, submit and vote on their favorite kindness activities and ideas, create and join affinity groups, and upload photos. A search function lets members and visitors browse all content or look for ideas to inspire kind acts at work, school or in the community.
Additionally, the RAK website is a hub for all things kindness. Teachers can use “Classroom to Community” lesson plans from Dafna Michaelson, inspired by her journey to interview everyday people making a difference in every U.S. state over 52 weeks in 2009. And for inspiration, visitors can check out a series of daring videos exploring kindness or read insights from guest bloggers who periodically write about kindness from their perspective – whether in law school, the workplace or as daily action.
RAK will continue to update the site frequently with the latest news about kindness, with evolving content including videos, stories, ideas and quotations about kindness.
