Canberra, Australia (PRWEB) November 9, 2010
Micro Forté Pty Ltd marked their milestone 25 year company anniversary last week.
To celebrate the occasion they held a sailing regatta for their staff on Sydney Harbour, followed by a sumptuous seafood feast at Doyles on the Beach in Watsons Bay.
The company’s first game in 1985 was the America's Cup Challenge Sailing Simulation which was released by Electronic Arts for the Commodore 64. Since then the company has worked on a range of games including children’s games such as Bash Arena and hardcore games like Fallout Tactics. The company now focuses on online games.
John De Margheriti, founder and CEO payed tribute to those who have helped the company along the way. He gave special thanks to Venture Capitalist Allen & Buckeridge who invested in the company in 1999, and also to a host of other investors and supporters including the ACT Government, NSW Government and Federal Government.
“Throughout our 25 year history, Micro Forté has been open and proactive to change. We are very nimble and have focused on sustainability rather than solely chasing our dreams. Our willingness to adapt and diversify quickly has meant that we are still here to fight another day in this challenging, but very rewarding industry,” commented John De Margheriti.
John De Margheriti also largely attributes the success of the company to his loyal staff and the friendship and strong allegiances he has maintained with co-founders Steve Wang, Simon Hayes and his wife Vicki De Margheriti.
