Migration to Single Technology for All Services Provides GCI with More Efficient, Cost-Effective Operations

We’re pleased with how efficiently the billing conversion project was executed from start to finish.

Cycle30 announced today at TM Forum’s Management World Americas that it has successfully converted all cable TV services provided by Alaska’s largest telecommunications and cable provider, General Communication Inc. (GCI) (NASDAQ: GNCMA) onto the Cycle30 order-to-cash hosted billing platform.

The conversion of GCI’s cable TV, pay-per-view and video-on-demand services from the existing legacy cable billing solution onto the Cycle30 platform completes the migration of all of GCI’s consumer services onto the same billing engine. Cycle30 already manages and bills GCI's wireless, wireline, and Internet services.

"With the completion of the cable conversion, GCI will be able to operate more flexibly, more efficiently, and ultimately serve our customers even better," said Ron Duncan, CEO of General Communication, Inc. “We’re pleased with how efficiently the billing conversion project was executed from start to finish.”

The new platform will help GCI more easily enforce business rules, cross-sell and bundle services, and anticipate customer needs across all product offerings. Additionally, because GCI customer service representatives will now be able to order, provision, monitor and manage all services using the same technology, they will be able to get a complete view of each customer’s existing products and services.

"By managing its services with a modern, hosted order-to-cash platform, GCI is better prepared for future growth," said Jim Dunlap, president of Cycle30. "A converged billing platform will empower GCI to bring new products to market in record time and deliver even greater levels of personalized service to customers."
