Brazen Careerist (http://www.BrazenCareerist.com), the site that helps professionals meet for career advancement, today announced the public launch of Network Roulette, an online speed-networking service that is both effective and useful.
Network Roulette randomly matches participants with other professionals after answering two simple questions: “What are you looking for?” and “What are you providing?” Next, participants have up to 3 minutes to determine if the person on the other end can help their network. After their session has ended, participants choose who to follow up with through their network dashboard.
Participants use the Network Roulette service to meet people, look for a job, get advice, hear new ideas, and to discover new clients or leads.
“Finding a job in this economy is tough for any job seeker,” said Ed Barrientos, CEO of Brazen Careerist. “Networking is the number one key to career success and we’re excited to be giving professionals a completely new way to continue their job search through Network Roulette. Few people actually enjoy networking – Network Roulette makes it quick, easy and fun.”
“Today’s professional needs more than a place to host their resume and rolodex,” said Ryan Healy, co-founder and COO of Brazen Careerist. “Network Roulette is designed to help professionals create a network of trusted peers on their time and from where they’re most comfortable. BrazenCareerist.com is leading the way in providing an interactive and deliberate place to meet people to advance your career.”
Initially tested in private beta, Brazen Careerist found that 95% of Network Roulette participants said they explicitly discussed work and 90% found it just as useful as or more useful than a real-life networking event. The average participant used the service to be matched to twenty other professionals per visit.
“I was skeptical at first, but almost immediately I realized how much Network Roulette can help my career,” said Carlee Mallard, an analyst for an international research organization and event planner. “Nearly everyone I was matched with was doing something interesting. Before I knew it, I came out with six leads to expand my network and one of those set up an interview for me with a superstar in my desired field.”
Network Roulette is available now at BrazenCareerist.com. The site also hosts topic-specific events for Network Roulette participants. A list of upcoming events is available at BrazenCareerist.com.
