Dawson & Associates, Washington, D.C.-based experts in water resources, natural resources management, and environmental permitting announced today that Brian Farrar, Florida land management expert and Past Chairman of the Bonita Springs Area Chamber of Commerce, will join the firm as a Senior Advisor.

This agreement between Farrar and Dawson & Associates significantly enhances the value both parties can provide to their clients. Farrar will gain key insight into federal permitting, land use, and other policies, while the Dawson team adds deep experience in Florida markets.

“We are excited to start working with Brian on a variety of projects in Florida,” said Robert K. Dawson, President and Founder of Dawson & Associates. “We believe all involved will benefit from the combined experience of each team – our knowledge of the federal policy space, and Brian’s experience on the ground in Florida.”

Farrar’s 22 years of experience in SW Florida includes successfully managing a Naples development company’s property portfolio as Vice President, Director of Land Development and as a Project Manager at two local Civil Engineering firms. He was President of the Lee County Building Industry Association in 2006. He also currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Corkscrew Regional Ecosystem Watershed Land and Water Trust Board.

“My extensive experience in handling a wide range of entitlement and construction-related issues has helped clients see me as a trusted advisor to those looking to complete a project on time and within budget,” said Farrar, currently president of BCF Management Group, LLC. “Our clients avoid the numerous pitfalls that can take place throughout the many stages of the entitlement and development processes.”

According to Farrar, this agreement broadens the scope of the services related to acquisition, entitlements and the construction of residential and commercial projects that both he and Dawson & Associates can now offer throughout the Southeastern United States.
