Claremont, NH (PRWEB) November 9, 2010
Red River announced today they have achieved their ISO 9001:2008 certification, the latest ISO 9000 international quality standard designation. The certificate was issued by Intertek, the same accredited registrar who issued Red River’s original ISO 9001:2000 certification back in November, 2006.
The quality management standard was established by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), and is based on the process methodology known as “Plan-Do-Check-Act”. Recognized in more than 160 countries, the ISO 9001:2008 standard places a strong emphasis on customer satisfaction, management responsibility, continual improvement, and organizational performance measurement.
“Achieving ISO 9001:2008 certification demonstrates our fundamental and ongoing commitment to quality,” says Kim Vacca, Quality Manager at Red River. “Our customers around the globe can be assured our foremost focus is to meet and exceed their expectations.”
Rick Bolduc, Red River CEO, notes “the move to ISO 9001:2008 further exemplifies our emphasis on organizational quality and extending that quality to our customers. Our quality management system has proven to be an important tool for us as it provides a framework for continually improving our business practices.”
