For the third consecutive year, advocates and survivors of breast cancer have come together to create the 2010 Holiday House to benefit the Greater New York City affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure®. Zoya Bograd, interior designer and president of Rooms by ZoyaB, is honored to participate and be a part of such a special event.

My Mom and Me, Like a Leaf and Tree

as designers, we all have to do our part to create an awareness through design

Breast cancer affects so many women, women we know like our grandmothers, our mothers and daughters... Bograd feels "as designers, we all have to do our part to create an awareness through design". 2010 Holiday House will feature top designers who will create unique rooms and tables representing different holidays and traditions celebrating life. There are various events and opportunities to shop the house's boutiques and book store. All in all the 2010 Holiday House is a great and positive way to raise awareness of breast cancer and support so many who need it.

Zoya Bograd, ASID will be partnering with Fred Marcus Photography to present a very special and personal installation with a tribute to Celebration of Motherhood, based on the relationships between mothers and daughters starting with her own story. Bograd found her passion for designing rooms for babies and children because her life was changed when she became a mother. The bond between mother and child is what inspires her and she will show this through her design this year. She plans on including design elements to express this vision as well as adding touches to recall the main reason for being there and participating and that is supporting Susan G. Komen for the Cure®.

Rooms by ZoyaB is a design studio and showroom specializing in baby and children's rooms, located at the New York Design Center in New York City. Bograd also recently launched a brand new website with a variety of high end products including furniture for the whole family, lighting, art, bedding, toys, and much more. Her reputation as a specialist children's room designer has gotten Bograd involved in many worthy causes close to her heart such as Susan G. Komen for the Cure.

2010 Holiday House will be open to the public from Wednesday, December 1st through Wednesday, December 15th. Admission is $25 and all proceeds will benefit The Greater New York City Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure®.
