Counterpoint Systems, a developer of software solutions for rights management, royalty accounting and product licensing for the music, entertainment and brand licensing industries, has added two industry veterans to their Los Angeles management team to support the company's rapid growth.

“Both come to the table with a unique set of talents and skills that will undoubtedly keep Counterpoint unrivalled in the markets we serve.”

Counterpoint Systems Inc. (“Counterpoint”), a developer of software solutions for rights management, royalty accounting and product licensing, has filled two key positions on its management team. Entertainment industry executive, Cheryl Brady, has been appointed as Sales Manager for the Americas, and marketing and PR veteran, Lorie Raileanu, has filled the firm’s newly created in-house position of Sales and Marketing Campaign Manager worldwide.

“We are thrilled to have such talent join Counterpoint,” says CEO Amos Biegun. “Both come to the table with a unique set of talents and skills that will undoubtedly keep Counterpoint unrivalled in the markets we serve.” Cheryl Brady comes to Counterpoint with a long history in the entertainment industry, where she held top senior management positions at Ascent Media, Post Logic, and Lightning Media. At each of these well known media companies, Brady made her indelible mark by increasing sales exponentially and implementing processes that were both strategic and groundbreaking. “The relationships she’s forged with key members of the entertainment community coupled with her hands-on experience in media distribution is invaluable,” continued Biegun. “We feel that it’s a real coup that we were able to attract someone with Cheryl’s background and experience.” In her current role, Brady will be responsible for expanding the company’s presence in the entertainment industry. “The value Counterpoint delivers should not just be measured by the amount of time its products save in processing participations or administering contracts but in the big dollars that can be realized by fully exploiting the rights that distributors didn’t even know they had available to sell!” said Brady.

Lorie Raileanu, also intimately familiar with the media and entertainment industry, arrives with broad expertise in brand marketing and public relations across international markets. Having previously held senior positions with one of Counterpoint’s largest competitors, REAL Software Systems, and creative agency, Creative Producers Group, Inc., Raileanu has effectively opened marketing channels worldwide. At Counterpoint, she is responsible for marketing and selling Counterpoint’s software solutions across the various sectors as well as ensuring the company’s brand stays front and center in the media space and with key stakeholders. “Lorie’s understanding of the rights and royalties space coupled with her rich background in marketing and communications made her ideally suited for this new position in our organization,” says Ben Clasper, Counterpoint Vice President of Sales and Marketing. “Our company has grown to a point that we require an in-house PR and Marketing person and having someone like Lorie is key to achieving our long term strategic goals,” he continued. “She clearly understands the challenges facing the markets we support and has the experience needed to effectively communicate the benefits of our unmatched suite of solutions.”
