John Lamboy, nominated by Megan Dow of Clovis, wins new Tech Council of Maryland award at the CIO/CTO Live! Awards. Clovis recognizes the significant contributions that Mr. Lamboy has made in the field of Cyber Security and congratulates Mr. Lamboy and Vangent on this high honor.

On November 4, the Tech Council of Maryland announced the winners of its fifth annual CIO&CTO Live! Awards to a capacity crowd in downtown D.C. at the Ronald Regan Building and International Trade Center. The awards reception and gala was attended by over 400 local CIOs, CTOs and Senior IT Executives.

The CIO&CTO Live! Awards ceremony is a premier event celebrating achievement in the field of Information Technology in mid-Atlantic region. This year, two new awards were introduced, Rising IT Star of the Year, and Chief Information Security Officer of the Year.

CIOs and CTOs eligible for the awards were nominated by their industry peers and were selected as finalists by a panel of elite judges. Clovis nominated six individuals for each of the six awards and four Clovis nominees were finalists in their category.

We are pleased to announce the winner of the award for Chief Information Security Officer of the Year was presented to Clovis nominee John Lamboy of Vangent.

“Mr. Lamboy recently implemented a Data Loss Prevention system to support Vangent’s Private Cloud initiative, which hosts a significant amount of sensitive information on behalf of their government customers. Though Vangent has done marvelous things with traditional security services, John has helped Vangent raise the bar by deploying a capability that deals with the ultimate threat associated with IT security, the loss of data,” reported Megan Dow, who, recognizing John’s significant contributions to Vangent and to the Cyber Security field, nominated Mr. Lamboy for this prestigious award. “I am pleased to see Mr. Lamboy receive this award for his continued success for providing security programs to our federal government, and ultimately, providing data protection to the American people.”
