This past month, APR Energy (APR) hosted a seminar focusing on Environmental Care and Conservation in Trujillo, Peru. The Environmental Seminar was open to the general public of the community of El Milagro, and was taught by an Environmental Specialist from the Regional Environmental Department, Norberto Escobedo Loyola. Held in the Centro de Formatción Técnica Municipal, this seminar educated community members on correct solid waste disposal, recycling, responsible electricity use and appropriate water use.
The Environmental Seminar was organized by APR Energy in conjunction with the El Milagro Municipality and the Regional Environmental Department and was part of APR’s ongoing goal of maintaining a close relationship with the communities in which its power plants are located through its Community Development Program. The mission of APR’s Community Development Program is to improve the quality of life and add to the social environment of the communities in which the employees of APR Energy’s power plants live and work.
