In anticipation of the 3D action movie The Green Hornet on January 14, 2011, Sony Pictures Entertainment has partnered with Trigger Apps, the retail division of Trigger, a digital marketing company specializing in entertainment, to launch a new iPhone & iPad application for the movie. The Green Hornet™ Wheels of Justice application is a 3D action driving game in which players navigate the Black Beauty™ through dangerous downtown streets while defending the city against villainous gangsters.
Taking advantage of the unique device capabilities of the iPad and iPhone, the application will be offered worldwide and available in 12 different languages. Users can play by themselves or with friends using the turn-based multiplayer capability. The Facebook enabled game utilizes: 1) touch or tilt-based steering with left or right-hand controls, 2) a special street fighting style mini-game that is unlocked after select missions, and 3) the App Store’s Game Center for showcasing achievement badges. The Green Hornet™ Wheels of Justice game is free to download from the App Store, and users can access the first five levels at no cost; those who upgrade the application with a one-time in-app purchase for 99¢ will gain access to levels 6 – 15, additional achievement badges, weapons and special cheat codes to enhance the overall game play.
Commenting on the announcement, Dwight Caines, President Worldwide Digital Marketing, Sony Pictures said, “As a strategic partner for The Green Hornet movie brand, Trigger Apps has enabled us to expand our consumer reach through this robust 3D iPhone and iPad app. For about the same cost as a song in iTunes, consumers can more than triple their gameplay experience.”

About The Green Hornet
In The Green Hornet, Britt Reid (Seth Rogen) is the son of LA’s most prominent and respected media magnate and perfectly happy to maintain a directionless existence on the party scene – until his father (Tom Wilkinson) mysteriously dies, leaving Britt his vast media empire. Striking an unlikely friendship with one of his father’s more industrious and inventive employees, Kato (Jay Chou), they see their chance to do something meaningful for the first time in their lives: fight crime. To get close to the criminals, they come up with the perfect cover: they’ll pose as criminals themselves. Protecting the law by breaking it, Britt becomes the vigilante The Green Hornet as he and Kato hit the streets. Using all his ingenuity and skill, Kato builds the ultimate in advanced retro weaponry, The Black Beauty, an indestructible car equal parts firepower and horsepower. Rolling in a mobile fortress on wheels and striking the bad guys with Kato’s clever gadgets, The Green Hornet and Kato quickly start making a name for themselves, and with the help of Britt’s new secretary, Lenore Case, they begin hunting down the man who controls LA’s gritty underworld: Benjamin Chudnofsky (Christoph Waltz). But Chudnofsky has plans of his own: to swat down The Green Hornet once and for all. The film is directed by Michel Gondry. The screenplay is by Seth Rogen & Evan Goldberg, based upon "The Green Hornet" radio series created by George W. Trendle. The producer is Neal H. Moritz.
