Fusion Sleep announces a unique partnership with the Georgia Motor Trucking Association that provides sleep medicine services to the entire association, no matter the size of the trucking company. In so doing, all GMTA members will have access to the leading transportation sleep medicine program in the industry. The Georgia Sleep4Safety program will be administered in strategic locations throughout the state, usually in pre-arranged trucking terminals or training sites.

PRWEB) November 10, 2010 -- Fusion Sleep, the leading provider of transportation sleep medicine services, announced their partnership today with the Georgia Motor Trucking Association with the first ever, statewide, “Georgia Sleep4Safety Program”.

"We are excited to work closely with the GMTA, helping drivers be safer on the road and live a healthier life," said Sigurjon Kristjansson, CEO of Fusion Sleep. "Until today, it has been very difficult for professional drivers to seek treatment for sleep disorders. We now have technology and medical expertise that allows us to meet drivers where they work and support them long term. Our program keeps them alert on the road and helps them succeed in their vital job."

The Georgia Sleep4Safety Program is designed to serve trucking companies of all sizes. The program combines a successful medical solution to members of the Georgia trucking industry with minimal logistical challenges to their fleets. It also provides dedicated Sleep Medicine trained physicians, nurse practitioners, sleep technologists, respiratory therapists and medical compliance coaches who work directly with fleets and their drivers in strategic locations throughout the state. The Georgia Sleep4Safety program is available to any GMTA member.

“Once we learned from Fusion Sleep that sleep apnea is only one of over 70 sleep disorders, we knew we needed a medically qualified partner to help Georgia fleets ready themselves for upcoming legislation regarding sleep apnea testing” stated Ed Crowell, President of the Georgia Motor Trucking Association.

Mitch Poole, Transportation Advisory Board member of Fusion Sleep and former GMTA Board of Directors member adds, "Understanding how important safety is for trucking firms and how costly accidents can be, I am pleased Fusion Sleep has created this program for GMTA members that offers them a medically sound fatigue management service that is cost effective. Anything fleets can do to minimize risk while saving money on health care costs is a win-win for everyone involved."
