Bennington, VT -- AvBid, Inc. announces the launch of AvBid.com, a buying and selling tool for aircraft parts and rotables.

Designed by the manager of an active airline parts department, the AvBid platform reduces friction in the procurement process, speeds the transaction, and provides more opportunities for sellers.

"Parts and rotables are 20% of our direct cost," said David Corey, President of AirNow. "If we can reduce that cost, we're more profitable."

AvBid reduces parts costs by casting a wider net in the purchasing process, and speeding the process so buyers can evaluate more quotations.

"In addition to operating the airline, we also sell inventory," said Corey. "With fast moving parts, we've always got good feedback on market pricing. But, we've got a lot of stock that's been sitting and we don't know the market. If we can get market feedback on pricing, we've got a better chance of moving that stock."

AvBid provides the same information to both buyer and seller, making the transaction transparent.
