San Diego, CA (PRWEB) November 11, 2010
Snowboarders and skiers in San Diego will again kick off the winter season on November 12-14 at the Del Mar Fairgrounds at the annual SnowJam Ski and Snowboard Expo. Attendees receive a free lift ticket worth $55 to Mountain High Resort in exchange for their $15 SnowJam admission ticket.
“We are pleased to add a special feature this year,” noted Ron Parent, SnowJam producer. “The Ski Channel came to us with the idea of building a movie theatre inside the SnowJam so attendees could preview their awesome new film ‘The Story.’ It’s going to be a big hit at our show for sure.”
SnowJam exhibitors include primary event partner Mountain High, as well as Mammoth Mountain, Big Bear Mountain Resorts (Bear Mountain and Snow Summit), and numerous destinations at Lake Tahoe, Utah, Colorado and even Canada. Many resorts offer “show specials” on lodging, lift tickets and season passes.
The San Diego SnowJam Ski and Snowboard Expo is considered a “must-attend” event for skiers and snowboarders, and not only due to the obvious value of receiving a lift ticket with admission. Vendors from around the country set up shop and offer significant discounts on new equipment, clothing and accessories, as much as 70% off the original retail prices of the items. Mark-downs of 25-25% are commonplace.
Besides deals on lift tickets and equipment, SnowJam attendees will be treated to previews of “The Story” in The Ski Channel Theatre, as well as fashion shows and half-pipe vert ramp exhibitions by champion BMX riders. Add in free stickers and frequent prize giveaways, and the weekend becomes a high-energy kickoff party that never fails to get skiers, snowboarders and their friends and families excited about the season that’s about to begin.
