One Click Ventures' Multi-facet Marketing Team Grows and Evolves

The marketing team at One Click Ventures experienced significant change during 2009, adding three new employees during late 2009 and early 2010.

One Click Ventures kicked off 2010 by expanding and reorganizing their marketing team. Alessandra Souers, a journalism and music business major from Butler University, received a promotion at the end of 2009. Previously the Brand Advocate, Souers’s new position as Director of Email Marketing requires her to manage strategy, design, and development of One Click’s email marketing programs, as well as oversee and contribute to the design of the websites and promotions. In October 2010, Souers was a featured speaker at the Masters of Business Online conference in Indianapolis, Indiana.

In September 2009, One Click hired Bridget Johnson as Director of Audience Development, a position that requires her to handle content development, social media account management, and public relations. A 2009 honors graduate from Vanderbilt University, Johnson’s previous experience includes editorial internships at Women’s Wear Daily, Today’s Chicago Woman Magazine, and Nashville Lifestyles Magazine, as well as marketing internships at Myre, LLC and Finelight Advertising Inc..

Jennifer Lowder also joined the team in September as the Director of Affiliate Marketing. In 2009, Lowder graduated with honors from Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business, receiving degrees in Science in Business and Marketing. Lowder’s past experience includes internships at Allision Transmission, Dick’s Sporting Goods, and a Teaching Assistant position at IU. As Director of Affiliate Marketing, Lowder manages the Affordable Style Affiliate Program through the ShareASale affiliate network.

In January 2010, One Click hired Ryan Hearn to be the Director of Paid Search Marketing. In this position, Hearn leads all paid advertising channels for the One Click network. He manages research, bidding, and revision of over 50,000 keywords, as well as creation and optimization of several hundred advertisements. Furthermore, he manages usability and conversion optimization of the One Click stores. Hearn graduated from Florida State University with a dual major in Multinational Business Operations and Creative Writing. Before becoming a fulltime hire, Hearn was an internet marketing intern at One Click during summer 2009.

On the marketing team’s growth and changes, Souers says, “I absolutely love that we have a dedicated person for each marketing channel. It’s helpful for each of us to ‘own’ what we do, and then combine that knowledge for special promotions and improvements in our overall marketing strategy.”
